The article “10 IT predictions for 2011 from IDC Canada” was written by Maxine Chung. The first paragraph introduced the idea of the article which was it organizations, specifically IDC making predictions for 2011 and 2010 comes near end. A specific statement from the vice president of IDC made the entire article look blissful. The statement was as follows: “The good news is as we get thru next year, there will be a significant upturn in the economies going into 2012. We're on our way to recovery in 2011 with a full recovery expected by the end of 2012.”

After reading this article it was evident that had done extensive research before coming up with their predictions. They mentioned both facts from previous years and research that can relate to the predictions. The predictions are made just for Canada. The article was awfully long and tedious, but it allowed the reader to look at IT from all angles, and look at the changes that one would have even thought about. Overall I would say that the predictions were a bit broad as to some technology predictions, both some were very carefully thought about. The article is good for broadening your perspective of IT and its developments. I would recommend someone who is looking for information on IT predictions, but would also recommend to further study and research in depth to really look at what exactly each prediction is suggesting.
